Lots of Pictures Tonight

One of my last photos of Peter.  This was his favorite place in the kitchen.

This ring-necked pigeon keeps popping up in strange places around the neighborhood.

I love the bronze glow of this beetle's wing case.

Rose Gentian wild flowers are in bloom right now.

This is an old photo that I found tucked in with some others . . . centipedes are kind of in a dying mode right now.  I find their tiny circled corpses in the garage and on the sidewalks.

Squirrel in the garage . . . helping herself.  I think Sarah was working with the gardens as so the door was open.

This is one of my all time favorite pictures--pregnant female resting while her mate keeps watch in the side yard.

Brent has been feeling worse and worse as the day has progressed today--head cold.  I walked around the yard several times today.  I didn't take any photos, but it was so wonderful to have my own magic place here.  Of course I am happy where ever we are--as long as Brent is there--but this constantly green place holds a unique comfort for me.  It is still a little cold for swimming, but we just had the pool re-surfaced and it looks like crystalline, swirling cloud.  Brent is beginning to take walks around the block.  His leg is very slow in healing.
General Conference today was wonderful.  "Watch and learn" from one speaker as he teaches what he found in the wisdom of his granddaughter's declaration.  Strong testimony of Christ's sacrifice--and the gift of Jesus' life and death from our Father--remind me of the privilege of belief and faith and understanding and a prophet today.
Peter's compatriots are waiting for their final frolic of the day, supper and clean beds for the night.    We got to sing this afternoon--practice for next week's Adult Stake Conference meeting special number.  It is a wonderful song--it is wonderful to sing.
         It is wonderful to me.

Uncle Nathan with Jonathan Rytting. Very nice photograph.
Jon takes on the road. And wins.
Meg, Nate and Jon in Florida like Florida is suppose to be in January.
My latest closeup of one of the male cranes that visits daily.
Jonathan's favorite part of any bath--getting to play with the handle.
Jon and me--his grandma. He has just pulled the leaves off of one of my platted ornamentals.
Brent and me--about a year ago when we were visiting Meg and Anton. Jon was just born.
Meg and Jon spend a lot of time just being quiet together.

I will have to write more. I spent all my time tonight on my carolynandbrent blog. I am taking a photography class (black and white and developing my own film with chemicals and stuff . . . we shall see . . .) and an advanced Algebra class. Rah! Rah! Rah!

Everyone keeps asking me what camera I use to take the photos I show off. It is almost to the point where I remember to write it down so that I can tell them. Almost.
